RipIt
| RipIt is used to create MPEG-1 Layer 3 (MP3) audio files from an Audio CD. It is a console based front-end (no fancy GUI here), written in perl, for these programs: dagrab (or cdparanoia or cdda2wav) for ripping the Audio CD tracks, lame (or OggVorbis) for encoding the MP3 files and CDDB_get (perl module) for CDDB retrieval. The program will do the following without user intervention: Get the Audio CD Album/Artist/Tracks information from CDDB (using xmcd), rip the Audio CD Tracks (using cdparanoia), encode the MP3s, id3 tag the MP3s and create an M3U file. |
